The Clinical Lead is an integral role within Social Care and assists the Care Manager with professional and administrative duties. The Clinical Lead is responsible to the Manager for the care/nursing matters in the Home, while ensuring that the Care Manager is kept informed at all times.
In the absence of the Care Manager, the Clinical Lead takes on the leadership role and is a working member of the care team. They have the overall responsibility for the nursing/care management of the Home, maintaining high standards of care, and monitoring staff performance.
To ensure standards are maintained and adequate coverage is provided, flexibility is required for the Clinical Lead to work nights, weekends, and a proportion of Bank Holidays, as necessary.
The Clinical Lead may also be asked to assist the Care Manager and Proprietor with unexpected visits and inspections of the Home, even when off duty.
Trainee nurses (nurses qualified outside of the EU) must hold a letter from the NMC confirming their eligibility to sit the OSCE exam.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and values:
• Previous experience as a Senior Carer, senior nurse, or registered nurse in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
• A committed and organized approach.
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
