Job Overview
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in care settings, particularly within care homes and senior care environments. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their independence. You will work closely with a team to implement care plans and provide compassionate support tailored to each individual's needs. Candidate should be flexible working with weekends as well as weekdays. Prefered female candidate.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
* Implement and monitor care plans to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Foster a positive environment by engaging residents in social activities and encouraging participation.
* Supervise junior staff members and provide leadership to ensure effective teamwork within the care setting.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to address concerns and provide updates on care.
* Drive residents to appointments or social outings as required.
Skills
* Proven experience in senior care or within a care home setting is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience preferred.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Ability to develop and implement personalised care plans that cater to individual needs.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via digital platforms.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary. This role requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving the lives of those in their care while working collaboratively within a team environment.
