Role Summary
Your Care Plus is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join a small, consistent team supporting a 22 year old young man with autism. This rewarding role focuses on enabling independence, promoting wellbeing and supporting an active lifestyle both at home and in the community.
You will provide person centred support with daily routines, personal care and social activities, helping the individual enjoy meaningful experiences such as attending the gym, swimming and community outings. This position is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable and enjoys building positive, long term working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting with personal care including showering and dressing
* Assisting with daily routines and meal preparation
* Supporting household tasks including laundry and cooking
* Accompanying and driving to appointments and activities
* Encouraging participation in social and physical activities
* Providing structured social support and helping plan activities in advance
* Working as part of a small dedicated team to ensure continuity of care
Working Pattern
Support is provided throughout the week, including mornings, evenings and weekends. Hours will vary and require flexibility to meet the individual's needs. Social and community activities are planned in advance to provide structure and consistency.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience supporting individuals with autism
* A caring, calm and positive approach
* Full UK driving licence
* Access to a vehicle with business insurance for work purposes
* Ability to work flexibly and reliably within a small team

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
