We have a rare opportunity for a motivated, clinically credible and astute practitioner to join the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Site Operations service, working as part of the Site Nurse Practitioner team who oversee all activity on Trust sites out of hours.
The successful candidate will be a competent clinician able to deliver high quality evidence-based care to patients yet, at the same time be able to meet the challenges of managing a busy Trust both in and out of normal working hours. As the most senior nurse and operational manager on site overnight, you will be dealing with a range of and organisational issues in a variety of settings, as well as supporting the wards by providing an Advanced Practice service for patients.
This post offers a real opportunity for a nurse who wants to keep a clinical focus to their career whilst developing operationally as a manager. The Site Nurse Practitioner team are the first port of call for any untoward incidents in the Trust, so the ability to think critically and creatively are essential.
As the role has a large clinical component, the successful candidate will possess a wide range of practical skills and demonstrate a broad nursing background. A non-medical prescribing qualification is essential, and previous operational Site Management experience is highly desirable.

Education/ qualifications
Essential criteria
8. Registered Nurse
9. First Degree in a Healthcare related subject, or substantial relevant experience
10. Experience in delivering advanced practice
11. Experience managing a team of staff.
12. Recent Operational Site Management Experience
13. Non-Medical prescribing qualification (V300)
Desirable criteria
14. Post Basic clinical course
15. Evidence of continuing professional development at Postgraduate level
16. Advanced Physical Assessment course
17. RCN accredite
18. Valid Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support Provider course
Experience
Essential criteria
19. Varied post-registration background, including experience at Band 7
20. Recent experience working out of hours and at night.
21. Proven ability to function as a clinical/operational lead
