Job Opportunity: Cardiology Nurse Specialist, Band 7 / Trainee, Band 6

Location: Ninewells Hospital, Dundee


Department: Cardiology


Position Details:

1. Full Time, 37 Hours per week
2. Working Days: Monday to Friday

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to join the well-established specialist nursing teams within Cardiology. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the team, supported in developing skills and knowledge within the specialty, and understanding the key attributes of the specialist nurse role.

The role involves providing specialist nursing interventions for patients with various cardiac conditions, including assessment of acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, post-surgery patients, and outpatient reviews.


Key Responsibilities:

* Lead in delivering nurse-led cardiac care across Tayside & North East Fife, focusing initially on cardiac rehabilitation.
* Develop expertise in arrhythmia and heart failure management.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in primary and secondary care.
* Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
* Potentially deliver services across Tayside, including Angus, PRI, and Ninewells.


Qualifications and Experience:

* Registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA, or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
* Evidence of continuing professional development, educated to degree level or working towards it.
* Experience in a cardiology setting and extensive post-registration experience.
* Leadership experience and a drive for growth and development are desirable.


Skills:

* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Ability to work across multiple sites and travel as required.
