Overview
The Trainer/Assessor delivers high-quality training and assessment to learners undertaking Health and Social Care qualifications, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to meet industry standards. The role involves both classroom-based delivery and workplace assessment across residential and domiciliary care settings.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in Health and Social Care (Adult Care, Level 3 and below), including delivering care standards certificate and induction, manual handling and emergency first aid.
* Conduct workplace assessments and observations to evaluate learners’ competence and progress.
* Support, guide, and motivate learners to achieve their qualifications within agreed timeframes.
* Develop and adapt learning materials to meet diverse learner needs.
* Maintain accurate records of learner progress, assessments, and compliance documentation.
* Ensure training delivery meets awarding body and regulatory standards.
* Liaise with employers, managers, and external verifiers to ensure smooth assessment processes.
* Promote best practices in adult care, safeguarding, and person-centred approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential and/or domiciliary adult care.
* Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent qualification in Health & Social Care).
* Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/D33) – desirable.
* Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET) – desirable.
* Strong communication, organisational, and mentoring skills.
* Commitment to supporting learner development and maintaining quality standards.
* Must be a driver
* Salary - Qualified (£27,500-£35,000)
* Salary – Unqualified (£25,396.00)
