Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our brand new nursery in Godalming town center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Room Leader you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your leadership and management skills will help guide your own team within your room in delivering high-quality childcare services.
The brand new nursery has a large car park, and is a 2 minute walk from Godalming train station benefitting from a easy commute to the setting.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
* Clearly and effectively communicate expectations, feedback, and important information to team members.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Motivate and inspire staff to achieve their best while fostering a sense of teamwork and camaraderie.
* Support the management team in supervising staff, providing guidance, training, and leadership as needed.
* Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and conducive to learning while adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with parents to support their children's learning journey through regular updates and feedback.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
* Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide the nursery team.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
* A valid driving license is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
* A passion for childcare and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all children is essential.
Qualifications and Skills
* Level 3 qualification
* Basic Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and how to implement it in everyday practice
* Leadership qualities
Working Hours
* Monday - Friday between 7.30am and 6.30pm.
* Part time and Full time roles available.
* Full time over 4 or 5 days.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £30,500.00 per year
