An exciting opportunity to be involved in the Community Buyout of a thriving rural pub following successful fundraising and the award of a substantial Scottish Land Fund grant.
The Glenuig Community Inn is situated in a small, rural and remote community on the West coast of Scotland. There is a well-established (volunteer) Committee responsible for both running the Pub business (currently on a lease basis) and the purchasing process/ asset transfer of the Inn buildings.
The Scottish Land Fund is providing funding for a Project Officer to assist in the asset transfer process. The Project Officer will also take a lead role in further developing the project to ensure the business continues to thrive and becomes well established as a community focused enterprise.
The postholder will be self-employed, working on a flexible, freelance basis.
Remuneration £225 per day (£30 per hour) for up to 64 days in total. Funding ends on 31st March 2026.
