Administrative Officer SEN Boarding School & Residential Care company Our recruitment agency is working on behalf of a specialist SEN educational boarding school and Residential Care company to appoint an organised and professional Administrative Officer. This role provides essential administrative and reception support within a busy education and care environment, supporting senior staff and ensuring accurate handling of confidential and sensitive information. Salary £24,570 per annum (3-point incremental scale) Many company benefits including the following, 20 days annual leave (pro rata) plus 12 statutory days Annual incremental salary increases Enhanced weekend rates Pension scheme and occupational sick pay Free on-site parking Ongoing training and development opportunities Death in Service benefit (2x annual salary) Contract & Hours Type: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week, MondayFriday, 9am5pm Flexibility: Occasional weekend and bank holiday cover may be required Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to senior education, care and management staff Maintain accurate, secure and confidential pupil and service records Process and record incident reports in line with statutory and regulatory requirements General administration including typing, filing, data entry and database reporting Answer and direct telephone calls; provide reception cover as required Meet and greet visitors, staff and external professionals Support correspondence with parents, trusts, regulators and external agencies Attend meetings, take minutes and prepare reports Provide information requested by inspectors and statutory bodies Carry out any additional administrative duties as required Essential Criteria Qualifications (one of the following): NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent), or 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grade C or above (May be waived with 4 years relevant administrative experience) Experience: Minimum 6 months office experience with NVQ Level 3, or Minimum 2 years experience in a similar administrative role Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication and organisational skills High level of confidentiality and professionalism Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Ability to work under pressure in a busy school environment Team-oriented with a flexible and proactive approach Willingness to undertake mandatory training and development If you are interested in this position please send your CV via the link provided.
