Job Description
This is a term time position with the option to work up to an extra five weeks throughout summer if desired. Shifts are hours a day working five days over seven, and based between 6am and 8pm - Monday to Sunday. However you will only work 2 weekends a month so there's plenty of work life balance!
As our next Commis Chef you will have excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm.
You will be working with a fabulous team of other chefs providing day to day catering, exceptional fine dining, pop ups and offerings for a host of other events using fresh, local ingredients. Creativeness and innovation are encouraged. This is a fabulous position for the right candidate with actual work/life balance, an excellent environment and supportive management.
Qualifications
1. Ideally have experience working within Education catering
2. Have a progressive career to date
3. Be up to date with current food trends
4. Have a real passion for food and customer service
5. Have good Health & Safety knowledge
6. Be able to work within set budgets
7. Know how to cost and plan menus accurately
8. Be familiar with training and coaching a team
