The appointed Mechatronics Engineer will undertake the design, development, and transition into production of new or modified products and processes in accordance with company procedures. You'll need to understand the technical design issues related to concept prototyping and full-scale manufacturing for a range of projects. As Mechatronics Engineer you will take a lead role in developing mechanical systems and contribute to the development of their electrical / electronic systems alongside their highly skilled engineers.\n\nMechatronics Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, Electro-mechanical\n\nAct as a Mechatronics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the work of the RD&D department\nPrepare proposals for product development including Project Plans, resource scheduling and costing\nLiaise with suppliers and lead development programmes with suppliers\nSupport with the design, development and testing of electronic instrumentation\nPerform development activities to agreed timescales and costs\nLead and / or support FMEA activity\nSource materials and components for prototype manufacture\nCollate data and technically report design and development activities\nMaintain technical documentation and reports\nEnsure the effective transition of development items into volume manufacture\nMechatronics Engineer – Skills and Experience - Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, Electro-mechanical\n\nDegree equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering preferred\nAt least 10 years experience as a design engineer\nExcellent understanding of mechanical design principles\nA good understanding of electrical and electronic design\nExperience of New Product Development – NPD\nPractical Engineering Skills and Good Workshop Practice\nMechatronics Engineer, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, Electro-mechanical, Design, R&D, Development\n\nIf this role could appeal please do apply now
