Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to children, assisting them in their daily activities and helping them achieve their personal goals. You will play a vital role in fostering a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring that each child receives the care they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
* Assist children with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
* Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
* Provide emotional support and encouragement to help children build confidence and independence.
* Communicate effectively with children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
* Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and any significant changes in behaviour or health.
* Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive and engaging environment for all children.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
* Previous experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with children and families.
* Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children when necessary.
* Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication is advantageous.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support children's development and well-being.
Renumeration
In addition to your hourly rate you will also be paid £80.00 per sleep shift
