Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Employment type: Permanent
Location: Crawley (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 p/a
Overview:
Tasks encompass mechanical design responsibilities related to infrastructure, with a primary focus on clean water treatment facilities, ensuring alignment with client specifications and standards. This includes generating design deliverables like P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, pipework layouts, schedules, and more.
Collaboration with cross-disciplinary designers is vital to ensure completeness and clarity in the design package. Additionally, compiling mechanical specifications and datasheets for equipment procurement, reviewing technical submissions, and delivering project outcomes to various stakeholders are central to the role.
Maintaining design input throughout the project lifecycle, assisting with budgetary management, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and project timelines, as well as participating in site meetings are all integral responsibilities.
Desired Credentials and Background:
1. A history of at least 5 years in a relevant role, preferably within the clean water domain
2. Achievement of a BTEC HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
3. Ownership of an EUSR water hygiene card
Key Proficiencies:
4. Actively engaged as a collaborative team player, adept at knowledge transfer for achieving business goals
5. Strategic problem-solving aptitude tailored toward the company's long-term vision
6. Goal-oriented individual with a penchant for overcoming challenges
7. Proven track record of delivering results under high-pressure circumstances
