We are seeking to recruit a Phlebotomist on a permanent 37.5-hour per week contract to join our existing Domiciliary Phlebotomy Service for North Tees. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to work as part of the team.
The applicants must be clinically competent in carrying out venepuncture requests on patients in the community and demonstrate an ability to work independently. (Please note, the applicant must already be able to obtain venous blood samples.) The applicant must have a vehicle to use for this post and have valid business insurance.
The role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The post holder should be IT literate, as electronic systems are used to input clinical data. Previous experience with SystmOne would be an advantage. The candidate should be able to prioritize their day and be familiar with routine blood tests and their clinical importance.
The hours of work will be on a shift rota over five days a week. Applicants must be able to access work locations frequently within short timescales.
