We are looking for a Project Manager with technical experience and a strong interest in technology product delivery to join our International Card and Risk Services EMEA Technology team. You will support the delivery of strategic market launches that integrate across multiple product teams, from definition through implementation. This role will focus on leading the E2E Technology teams to deliver critical initiatives for International Consumer Services.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborating with integrated teams to deliver solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product managers, scrum masters, architects, developers, and QA teams.
2. Creates an environment of continuous improvement through honest communication and regular retrospectives with the goal to surface issues/concerns and to identify clear action steps
3. Planning and executing of the Technology development schedule for major product releases
4. Tracking status, progress and other critical metrics in relation to the plan and publishing progress reports to senior partners
5. Maintaining release and dependency plans across American Express development teams, external partners and third parties
6. Identifying and raising risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives
7. Resolving impediments precluding teams from making progress against plans
8. Ensuring deliverables across Technology teams are high-quality and clearly documented
9. Organizing and executing Pre and Post PI Planning sessions, daily stand-ups, scrum of scrums and retrospectives at the end of each planned unit of work, with a focus on continuously learning from the past
10. Finding opportunities to embrace innovative technologies and processes
This role will ideally be based in Burgess Hill however, due to the current environment, we may be willing to consider candidates in other UK locations. Additionally, there will be no relocation support for this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
11. University Degree or equivalent experience in related field and/or prior relevant Technology or business experience
12. Previous Project or Product Management experience, ideally in an Agile environment
13. Proven technical experience in software engineering, infrastructure, operations or product delivery & system integration is preferred
14. Organizational skills and self-motivation
15. Knowledge of internal delivery tools & a desire to deepen understanding
