Overview
Mechanical Maintenance Technician role at TipTopJob, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. This is a permanent, long-term position in an Aerospace and Defence organization. The role is 40 hours per week on rotating shifts and reports to the Engineering Services Team Leader.
Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections, maintenance and repairs of equipment involved with the facility.
* Carry out planned maintenance and testing of mechanical services.
* Repair plant and equipment during breakdowns.
* Perform fault finding in line with supervisory instructions (reactive maintenance).
* Install new plant and equipment in accordance with supervisory instructions.
* Share ideas on design and implementation improvements where appropriate.
* Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
* Contribute to risk assessments and method statements.
* Adhere to site security procedures.
* Be a member of the Emergency Response team.
Qualifications
* Mechanical Apprenticeship and/or significant demonstrated experience.
* Experience installing, maintaining, repairing and inspecting industrial plant equipment and systems, including:
o High-pressure compressed air systems
o Water cooling and treatment systems
o Plant lubrication and hydraulic systems
o Mechanical machinery and infrastructure, including rotating/reciprocating components
* Team player, capable of coaching and mentoring less experienced employees.
* Flexible and positive attitude, willing to meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and commitment to improving skills; receptive to new ideas and ways of working.
* Self-motivated with good communication and a can-do attitude to overcome issues.

Additional notes
The successful candidate must be a sole British national and able to satisfy security clearance (SC) requirements, including last five years of continuous UK residency.
