We are looking for a CAD Manager to join our Infrastructure team on the Lower Thames Crossing Project based across Essex and Kent. You will be responsible for leading and managing the (CAD) team to ensure efficient and accurate production of drawings and documentation. This role involves overseeing CAD operations, developing standards and procedures, providing technical guidance, and collaborating with the project team to support project delivery.
What you\'ll do
* Lead, mentor, and manage the CAD team to deliver high-quality design drawings on schedule.
* Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards, best practices, and workflows across projects in line with the clients .
* Coordinate with project teams to understand design requirements and ensure CAD deliverables meet project specifications.
* Oversee the creation, review, and modification of CAD drawings and models.
* Manage CAD software licenses, upgrades, and hardware resources to ensure optimal performance.
* Provide training and support to staff on CAD software and tools.
* Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CAD systems.
* Ensure compliance with company quality standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
What you\'ll bring to the role
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology or related field preferred.
* Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM processes and protocols
* Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a CAD-related role with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
* Expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation or similar platforms.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Good communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
