Stakeholder Engagement Manager at SP Electricity North West. SP Electricity North West manages and invests in the power network that supplies electricity to the 2.4m homes and businesses across the North West. We are building smarter, greener electricity networks as part of the Iberdrola and ScottishPower group.
This is a fantastic opportunity to influence change, manage reputational risk, and support collaborative initiatives that align with our business planning and advisory frameworks. You will drive the delivery of our Stakeholder Engagement strategy by identifying and managing key stakeholder relationships, facilitating meaningful engagement across the organisation and with external partners, and coordinating reporting and external assurance processes to ensure engagement activities are impactful.
Responsibilities
 * Manage and implement SP Electricity North West’s stakeholder engagement strategies, including coordination of internal engagement activities and contribution to annual reporting and measurement.
 * Support the development and delivery of the ED3 stakeholder engagement programme and business plan activities.
 * Deputise for the Stakeholder Engagement and Responsible Business Manager as required.
 * Lead, develop, and manage external stakeholder relationships, meetings, and special events, including liaison with the Executive Leadership Team, panels, partners, and internal colleagues.
 * Identify and coordinate opportunities for SP ENWL’s participation in external events to maximise visibility and value.
 * Represent SP Electricity North West at stakeholder engagement and information-sharing events.
 * Identify, develop, and maintain strategic regional stakeholder relationships with business leaders and colleagues to maximise engagement opportunities.
 * Maintain and regularly update the external stakeholder database, including stakeholder mapping and identification of new contacts.
 * Manage stakeholder contact through the stakeholder contact management system (Tractivity).
 * Support business units in effectively consulting and engaging stakeholders on relevant projects; coordinate and develop engagement materials, briefings, and new opportunities to enhance stakeholder involvement.
 * Oversee stakeholder satisfaction research, including the Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey process, and collaborate to develop action plans; manage and record outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
 * Collaborate with the Stakeholder Communications Engagement Officer and the wider communications team to ensure consistent internal and external communication of stakeholder activities.
 * Wider support for the communications team on colleague engagement events, incident response and ad hoc activities; occasional early/late/weekend work as required.
 * Work with the wider Communications Team to ensure consistent messaging and maximise opportunities.
Qualifications and Attributes
 * Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience.
 * Experience in stakeholder engagement in corporate, regulatory or government environment and developing and maintaining stakeholder networks.
 * Understanding of stakeholder reporting and consultation principles, tools, experience and knowledge of assurance processes including AA1000 AccountAbility Principles Standard (AA1000APS).
 * Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills; strong verbal and written communication.
 * Understanding of reputation and issues management in a corporate context.
 * Outcome-focused approach with ability to quantify results to show return on investment.
 * High level project management skills.
 * Ability to manage external agencies to time and budget to support communications team objectives.
