Join to apply for the SEN / SEND Tutor, Cheshire role at TieTalent. Core subject tutoring (Maths, English, or Science) for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Cheshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND, and other needs such as SEMH. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work 1:1 with children and young people with diverse learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to boost engagement and educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other educational needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support young people referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions aligned to the young person’s needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other educational needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work (including remote/online work)
It is a strict requirement to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* This role involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term engagements
* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
