Job Description
The Interim Head of Governance will manage a team of governance, risk & assurance professionals. They will step in to:
3. Oversee and enhance this London housing association's governance framework to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
4. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
5. Provide expert advice and assurance to the executive team on governance and risk matters.
6. Lead the preparation and delivery of reports to the board and other key stakeholders.
7. Monitor and evaluate emerging risks and regulatory changes, adapting strategies accordingly.
8. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment with governance policies.
9. Coordinate audits and ensure that all findings are addressed in a timely manner.
10. Foster a culture of accountability and ethical decision-making within the organisation.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Interim Head of Governance, Risk and Assurance should have:
11. Strong housing association knowledge and experience.
12. Proven expertise in corporate governance and risk frameworks effectively.
13. Ideally hold a CGI (Previously ICSA) qualification.
14. Exceptional skills in preparing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders.
15. A strategic mindset with the ability to foresee and mitigate risks.
16. A thorough understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
17. Previous management experience would be an advantage.
