This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Computer Science teacher who is confident delivering engaging, innovative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4(maybe KS5 if willing). The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students to develop computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of the digital world within a dynamic and supportive department.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching Computer Science across KS3 and KS4(there may also be opportunities to teach to A-Level)
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge, including programming and core computing concepts
* Be passionate about delivering high-quality, engaging Computer Science education
* Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
* Have a proactive approach to contributing to the wider school community
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Teach a range of topics including programming, algorithms, data representation, and computational thinking
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support achievement
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
* Support students' academic progress and personal development
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards across the department
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities, including clubs or coding initiatives where appropriate
* Uphold the school's values, policies, and commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
