Salary: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the heart of Merton, who are seeking a confident and committed English Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dynamic team this September.
About the Role:
As an English HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting students across KS3 and KS4, helping to raise attainment in English. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering targeted English interventions to small groups and individual pupils
Supporting teaching and learning within English lessons
Leading literacy booster sessions and assisting with reading programmes
Planning and delivering cover lessons under teacher guidance when required
Supporting pupils with varying levels of ability, including those with additional needs

About You:
We are looking for someone who:
Holds HLTA status or has equivalent experience
Has a strong background in English (literature and/or language)
Is confident delivering lessons or interventions independently
Has previous experience in a secondary school setting
Is proactive, enthusiastic, and passionate about student progress
