Senior Mental Health Practitioner
Position at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT).

Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and collaborate on care and treatment planning.
* Effectively manage high‑risk presentations, requiring a strong knowledge base and risk management skills.
* Offer urgent mental health assessment and home treatment for those referred and assessed as requiring the team’s services.
* Identify appropriate intervention or management, or recommend suitable referral agency when necessary.
* Provide assessment reports/letters of a high standard and monitor junior staff reports to ensure equal standard.
* Contribute to achieving the team’s objectives, monitoring and evaluating workloads through effective clinical leadership.
* Be conversant and proactive with government legislation pertaining to the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Crisis Care Concordat, NHS Plan and clinical governance.
* Encourage, promote, and maintain effective communication with partner agencies both statutory and non‑statutory.
