Job Overview
Full time nanny needed in Farnborough GU14.
A well‑experienced childcarer is required to care for a baby boy who will be up to a year old when the role starts. The family’s schedule will be Monday to Friday, 9am‑5pm or 10am‑6pm, with flexibility to discuss days and hours.
The first two months will involve shared care while the mother is on maternity leave. From September the nanny will be in sole charge as the parents work from home or travel to work.
Responsibilities
* Prepare food according to the mother’s instructions.
* Perform nappy changes and maintain hygiene.
* Follow nap routines and ensure adequate rest.
* Encourage developmental milestones appropriate to the baby’s age.
* Set up age‑appropriate play and activities.
* Handle baby’s laundry and tidying of baby areas.
* Maintain and clean baby toys and dishes.
* Feed the three indoor cats that are part of the family.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum of five years’ experience caring for children, preferably with a baby.
* Experience in a nursery, childminding, or nanny setting.
* Qualified in childcare with an Ofsted registration, or willing to obtain this.
* Certification in Paediatric First Aid (Minimum 12 hours).
* Up‑to‑date, enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
* Minimum of two professional referees, one being the current or last employer, all immediately contactable.
* Valid driving licence; the family can provide a nanny car if required.
* Professional nanny insurance is recommended.
Hours & Pay
40 hours per week, either 9am‑5pm or 10am‑6pm, Monday to Friday (or Monday to Thursday). Pay guideline of £18 per hour, weekly pay of around £720, annual gross pay of £37,440.
Start Date
1st July 2026.
