We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance & Hot Tub Supervisor to join the team at Thanet Well Lodge Retreat, one of Darwin Escapes’ beautiful countryside destinations in Cumbria.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong maintenance experience who takes pride in high standards, enjoys leading by example and is passionate about delivering a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and team members.
As a Maintenance & Hot Tub Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations across the park, including the servicing, cleaning and compliance of all hot tubs. You will support the wider maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is organised, detail-focused and confident managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week across variable days, including weekends and bank holidays.

About The Role
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in a grounds, maintenance or facilities role
• Experience in a supervisory or team leader position is desirable
• Strong practical skills and knowledge of general maintenance tasks
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• A proactive and flexible approach to work
• A positive attitude and commitment to high standards
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the day-to-day grounds and maintenance operations across the park
• Lead, support and motivate the grounds and maintenance team
• Plan and prioritise workloads to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
• Carry out general grounds maintenance including grass cutting, landscaping and upkeep of outdoor areas
• Oversee routine maintenance and repairs across accommodation and facilities
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment and outdoor spaces
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures
• Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the park
• Support with stock control, ordering of materials and equipment
• Respond to maintenance issues and guest requests in a timely manner
• Assist with training and development of team members
Required Criteria
* The right to work in the UK
* A full, valid UK driving licence is essential
* Previous maintenance experience
Desired Criteria
* Experience with hot tub maintenance or water hygiene is desirable (training can be provided)
