Role Overview As a Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that help students understand and enjoy mathematics. You will support students in building their confidence and skills, helping them to achieve their best in both classwork and exams. You will also work closely with other staff to create a positive and encouraging learning environment. Key Responsibilities of Maths Teacher: Deliver well-structured and engaging math lessons to students. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and progression. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners. Assess and track student progress regularly and provide feedback to aid improvement. Support curriculum planning and contribute to departmental activities. Communicate effectively with students, parents/carers, and colleagues. Follow school policies and support wider school initiatives. Candidate Requirements for Maths Teacher role: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE ( Postgraduate Certificate in Education) is preferred. Candidates with equivalent qualifications or substantial experience teaching maths in UK secondary schools will also be considered. A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. Strong knowledge of the UK math curriculum. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. An Enhanced DBS with the Update Service or willingness to apply for a one.
