We are offering a competitive salary of up to £33,000 per annum plus gratuities (approx £7-9k per annum)
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager at a similar food-led gastropub.
Job Purpose:
* To ensure there is a happy and motivated FOH team and that therefore The Unruly Pig is considered to be a great/fair place to work.
* To ensure that The Unruly Pig is known for its warm welcome and the excellence of its service: friendly, down to earth, attentive but not over bearing.
* To support the Restaurant Manager with all bar functions to include (but not limited to): bar ordering, presentation and innovation of drinks offering, menus and wine list, to ensure targeted GP is met and to conduct weekly stock takes.
* To assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing and coordinating the running, planning, organising, training, leadership and motivation relating to all restaurant Front of House necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, guest service and satisfaction.
* To have sole charge of the pub/restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
* To assist the Restaurant Manager in continuously delivering a consistent level of service.
Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting the Restaurant Manager in developing a structured training programme for FOH staff – focusing on product/menu knowledge and general customer service.
* Ensuring compliance of all daily/weekly checklists.
* Ensuring compliance of the sequence of service.
* To lead staff briefings with a key focus on product knowledge testing.
* Cashing up and locking up, ensuring that the pub/restaurant is secured and closed down effectively.
* Ensuring that all areas of the pub/restaurant have an excellent standard of cleanliness at all times.
* Working with the Restaurant Manager to achieve a consistent level of service by enforcing the use of checklists and proactively using guest feedback to continuously improve.
