About The Role:

The Compliance Officer will work with all departments to resolve compliance issues, provide recommendations, communicate on the status of action resolution, whilst tracking corrective actions.

The individual will need to be well-presented, process-driven, with attention to detail, and a proactive can-do attitude, emphasizing communication, Health and Safety, Security, and Quality as part of their role.

To take direct ownership of health and safety and all compliance matters.
You will be working on a variable shift rota any days between Monday to Sunday, 06:00 to 23:00, 40 hours per week on a permanent, full-time basis.
Duties:
* Ensure all Health and Safety and Security regulations are known and strictly adhered to at all times.
* Carry out daily product quality inspections to ensure that customer expectations are met.
* Ensure Personal Protective Equipment policies and procedures are followed by all on site.
* Conduct on-the-job training related to Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environment as necessary.
* Continuously coach all relevant employees in Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environment in best practice standards.
* Participate in the site risk assessment programme.
* Organize Estates visits and report building issues.
* Carry out daily site inspections to monitor compliance with all legal and best practice standards.
* Report positive interventions, analyze trends, and dashboards.
* Perform active monitoring site inspections and report findings.
* Coordinate housekeeping and monitor compliance to best practices.
* Undertake administrative tasks related to Health, Safety, Security, Quality, and Environment.
* Act as deputy radiation supervisor for the site.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records.
* Motivate the team to exceed targets and involve them in continuous improvement.
* Plan, execute, and report on audits; assist with internal and external audits.
* Support training development, evaluate training, and conduct accident investigations.
* Report near misses and promote safety awareness across teams.
* Manage training schedules and records.
* Collaborate with teams to resolve compliance issues, provide recommendations, and track corrective actions.
* Manage a small team of cleaners (3 staff).
Health & Safety / Compliance Objectives:
* Communicate safety matters regularly to ensure high morale.
* Promote a positive safety image through actions.
* Communicate safe systems of work before activities commence, ensure RAMS and COSHH are up-to-date.
* Maintain plant, equipment, and workplace environment.
* Conduct regular site and service inspections, audit equipment, and address non-compliance.
* Manage safety performance of all personnel and subcontractors.
* Work closely with the Quality Manager to uphold standards and support safety initiatives.
* Embrace company values and foster a positive safety culture.
* Prioritize safety, motivate teams, and take ownership of responsibilities.
Requirements:
* A good standard of education and communication skills.
* Good computer skills.
* IOSH certification desirable.
* Customer service and people skills.
* Experience in health and safety environment preferred.
* Experience managing teams and working under targets and pressure.
* Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
* Results-oriented, flexible, efficient, and proactive.
* Excellent communication, patience, and sense of humor.
* Ability to adapt to change and problem-solve effectively.
