We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver / Kitchen Porter to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for supporting kitchen operations by maintaining a clean and organised environment and ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly, while also ensuring timely delivery and collection of meals and goods from various locations.

What the role involves
Kitchen Porter Duties:
* Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the Head Chef or Chef.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with food safety and health and safety regulations.
* Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for restaurant service.
* Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe working environment.
* Support the kitchen team with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and organising stock.
* Collaborate with Chefs to ensure timely meal preparation and presentation.
* Participate in menu planning by providing feedback on dishes and assisting with recipe development when required.
Driver Duties:
* Safely and efficiently drive company vehicles to deliver and collect goods from suppliers, clients, or other company locations.
* Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed schedules.
* Check the quality and condition of items being delivered or collected to ensure they meet company standards.
* Perform routine vehicle checks, ensuring the vehicle is clean, fuelled, and in good working condition.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and reports, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
* Comply with all traffic and road safety regulations while on the road.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* A valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
* Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
* Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and company policies.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organisation.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Flexibility to perform kitchen porter duties and driving tasks as needed.
