Operations Lead – Hospitality Sector
Location: Outside of PenrithSalary: £35,000 per annumHours: 5 days out of 7 (flexibility required)
About the Role
I’m supporting a well-established and people-focused hospitality business outside of Penrith in their search for an Operations Lead. This organisation values authentic leadership, transparency, and culture fit above industry experience - they can teach the sector.
This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing around 50 staff across multiple departments. The successful candidate will lead by example, support their teams, and help create a positive, motivated working environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support, and develop teams across several hospitality departments
* Ensure smooth daily operations and high service standards
* Build strong working relationships with staff and department heads
* Communicate openly and honestly, promoting a positive culture
* Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members
* Manage rotas, staffing levels, and general operational planning
* Be a visible, approachable leader who is present on the floor
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience managing a team of 15+ (any sector)
* Strong people leadership and communication skills
* Ability to motivate, nurture and inspire staff
* A hands-on, proactive approach
* Flexibility to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends when required
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service
