Job summary
This is a new post for an Old Age consultant psychiatrist to provide medical input into the community Treatment Team located in Cumbria. The post holder will work alongside a multidisciplinary team covering the old people's population in North-Cumbria. The post holder will provide senior clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of individuals with complex mental health problems and those in at-risk mental states.

Main duties of the job
This is a full-time substantive Consultant post providing senior clinical and leadership input within the Old Age Community Treatment Team. The post holder will work alongside experienced consultants, nurses, and other MDT members covering the West of Cumbria. Responsibilities include:
1. Participating in engagement, assessment, diagnosis, and formulation of patients referred to the CTT.
2. Delivering excellence in clinical care.
3. Working effectively with multidisciplinary community and inpatient teams.
4. Promoting patient safety and wellbeing.
5. Respecting patient rights and dignity.
6. Considering individual and cultural needs of patients.
7. Collaborating with families and carers in the best interest of the patient, in line with the Trust Carers' Charter.
