Deputy Homes Manager Welcome Bonus - £10,000 if you apply between 11th September - 13th October 2025*
Salary: £39,680 - £40,720 OTE £47,280 - £48,320. Salary inclusive of: Sleep Ins - £30 and On Call shifts - £60. Rota expectation: 40 hours per week, 6 sleep ins and 3-4 on call shifts (depending on the needs of the Home).
Qualification / Experience: 12 months in a Deputy role, QCF Level 3 minimum, willingness to complete QCF Level 5.

It is important that you understand your role within the company as a Deputy Manager and spend time learning about your role within the company. Continuity through rigorous care planning, therapeutic interventions and team approach is essential to long-term changes for a young person.
Main purpose of the job
To support on the rota and shift cover, mentor senior staff and TPWs to ensure daily operational systems within the home are effective and meet the needs of our young people and the home.
To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home in the absence of the Home Manager, including supervision of a team, work allocations, and direct work with children when necessary.
To be responsible for all aspects of the residential premises.
Key Duties
* To support the Registered Homes Manager in ensuring compliance with the company Policy and Procedures and meeting all OFSTED regulations.
* To deputise/act up for the Registered Manager in their absence.
* To ensure that the young people's needs are recognised and met.
* To support the manager and the team to ensure that when a young person leaves the home this is done sensitively and in line with the company's discharge/transitions policy and procedures.
* To oversee the development, monitoring and implementation of individual young people's care plans and case records.
* To ensure that young people are informed of their rights and responsibilities and can express their wishes and feelings.
* To plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day.
Practical Duties
* To ensure all policies and procedures, as well as risk assessments, are adhered to at all times.
* To ensure that all incidents/accidents forms, or restraint forms as applicable, are completed and passed to the Registered Manager within the agreed timescale.
* To ensure staff follow Local Authority Safeguarding Child Protection Procedures and SureCare Safeguarding & Child Protection Procedures.
Managerial duties
* Demonstrate effective leadership to direct and support the staff team to deliver person-centred childcare and best outcomes for each young person.
* Understand and apply the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, The Quality Care Standards and related frameworks, and address any recommendations after Ofsted inspections.
* Notify Local Authority Social Workers of significant events, incidents, changes and physical interventions within 24 hours.
* Ensure the home is fit for purpose by addressing Fire Regulations, Health and Safety Regulations, Quality Assurance and Regulation 44 action points promptly when directed.
* Support the Manager in staff performance and development through regular supervisions and annual appraisals.
Training
* Partake in Monthly Supervisions from our Senior Leadership Team and Wellbeing Service to support CPD.
* Complete regular NFPS Physical Intervention and Behaviour Management Training; restraint may be used as a last resort to keep young people and staff safe.
* Attend trainings booked for you and access to Level 5 through internal promotions.
* DSL- Level 3 safeguarding training for designated leads.
