We are seeking a confident and proactive Maths Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong classroom presence and a passion for supporting students' learning in mathematics. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Maths Cover Supervisor:
* Supervise classes in the absence of the Maths teacher, ensuring students remain on task with set work.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
* Provide general feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress.
* Assist in the preparation of resources where necessary.
* Promote a positive learning environment that encourages students to excel.
Ideal Maths Cover Supervisor:
* Experience working with secondary school students (ages 11–16), ideally in a maths or STEM context.
* Strong subject knowledge in mathematics up to GCSE level.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a Maths Cover Supervisor.
* A calm, resilient, and professional manner.
* The ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
* A degree or relevant experience in Maths or a related subject is desirable.
* Teaching assistant or Cover Supervisor experience is advantageous.
