Job Description
We have a fantastic new opportunity for an IT Environment & Release Analyst to join us in Hove! Bringing stability and control to L&G IT environments, you’ll own non-production environments, orchestrate their usage, and act as a gatekeeper for all releases to ensure the integrity of the environments.

What you'll be doing:
1. Managing and supporting application environments, facilitating definition, creation, build, deployment, and maintenance (including upgrades) to ensure the integrity of environments. Managing the full configuration status of each environment, including OS versions, patch status, and software versioning.
2. Defining, establishing, and maintaining Environment Strategies, auditable policies, processes, and IT Controls for Environment Management in line with industry best practices (ITIL).
3. Managing environment allocation, multiple bookings, or shared usage, and maintaining the schedule of environment usage.
4. Working with Solution Architects to ensure environment design and purpose meet strategic objectives and support change flexibility. Maintaining environment cost profiles and supporting cost reduction efforts.
5. Negotiating, planning, and managing all release/deployment activities to plan release windows and cycles across the estate, including task, resource, and dependency management. Producing and maintaining Run Books.
6. Supporting project delivery by defining and agreeing on requirements and providing expert knowledge on environment types, configurations, connectivity, and functionality to meet expectations. Providing guidance to project teams on environment utilization and efficiencies.
7. Defining and maintaining management information and publishing KPIs periodically, including environment usage, forward planning, performance, capacity, and availability metrics.
8. Proactively monitoring incidents related to environments, facilitating incident closure, analyzing incident data for trend analysis, and contributing to continual improvement. Managing risks and resolving environment-related issues.
Qualifications: Who we're looking for:
* Well-versed in IT Environmental Management.
* Experience in a Release Management role and seeking a new challenge.
* Good understanding of IT infrastructure.
* Experience working in a DevOps/Agile environment.
* Cloud experience with AWS or Azure is a significant plus.
