The Organisation
Civitas Charity Recruitment are excited to be working with a national charity working to drive positive change for women and girls facing inequality and disadvantage. They collaborate with partners across policy, practice, and lived experience to influence systemic reform. As part of their continued growth and operational improvement, they are seeking a Temporary Admin Assistant to provide vital support across the organisation for approximately 2-3 months and may become permanent.
The Role
This is a part-time temporary position (21 hours per week) for an experienced and proactive administrator. The Admin Assistant will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer, contribute to the day-to-day operations of the charity, and play a key role in maintaining smooth systems and processes across finance, governance, and office management.
Key responsibilities include managing the office space and systems, assisting with trustee meeting coordination, handling diary management, bookkeeping through Xero, supporting staff onboarding, organising internal events, and being the main point of contact for internal and external queries.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be organised, adaptable, and confident supporting busy senior leaders. You will bring experience of finance administration, team support, and managing systems with accuracy and care. Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and a friendly and professional approach are key. You should be confident using tools like Microsoft Office and willing to learn new systems quickly.
You will be passionate about social justice, comfortable working independently, and able to manage competing priorities in a small and collaborative team. Experience supporting a CEO or board of trustees, or working with CRM systems, would be advantageous.
