Lift Safety Inspector
We are recruiting for a CPSI5 Inspector to join our team based in the Midlands and South West Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for working within the Technical department to ensure the Confirmation of Periodic Safety Inspections (CPSI) 5-yearly inspections are performed to the required Schindler standard. This is a full-time and permanent role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Carry out the technical 5-yearly inspections.
2. Produce accurate reports in line with current codes of practice.
3. Ensure correct performance of lift installation to agreed contract details.
4. Ensure correct performance of safety-related components to company standards.
5. Ensure timely production of reports and accurate feedback of site anomalies.
6. Keep all instruments in line with company requirements, i.e., calibration of measuring instruments.
7. Assist other members of the technical department to complete their duties.
8. Deliver on-site mentoring and technical training.
9. Work in accordance with established company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety standards.
10. Contribute to the company safety objectives by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems and implementing necessary changes.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a field engineer (service or installation).
2. NVQ Level 3 minimum.
3. NVQ Level 4 qualification or willingness to complete studies.
4. Experience with 3rd Party Equipment is advantageous.
5. Willing and able to travel across the UK, including overnight stays.
6. Customer-centric approach and highly analytical.
7. Ability to work using own initiative.
8. High attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence.
