Stamford College is looking for an enthusiastic and organised ALS Team Leader to join our Skills for Work & Living (SWL) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team of support staff and play a key role in ensuring learners with additional needs receive high-quality, effective support throughout their educational journey.
We have flexible opportunities available we can consider both part-time and full-time applications. We have a combination of permanent and maternity cover hours available.
About the Role
As ALS Team Leader, you will coordinate and manage learning support provision across the College, ensuring resources are deployed effectively to meet learner needs. You will work closely with curriculum teams, teaching staff and the wider SEND team to deliver an outstanding support service that enables students to succeed.
You will:
* Lead, support and develop a team
* Coordinate support allocations and staff timetables across curriculum areas
* Monitor the quality and impact of learning support provision
* Conduct observations, supervision, appraisals and performance reviews
* Support recruitment, induction and staff development activities
* Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure learners receive the right support at the right time
* Ensure accurate recording, auditing and reporting of support activity and funding evidence
* Contribute to continuous improvement and the development of inclusive practices across the College
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* Experience supporting individuals with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
* Experience coordinating teams, resources or support provision
* Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Experience supervising, mentoring or managing staff
* A good understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive practice
* A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach
Previous experience within Further Education, learning support or educational settings would be advantageous.
