We’re looking for a talent Head of Category – Growth & Emerging (12-month maternity cover) who expects more from their career. Sitting within the Sales team, this person will be six and is accountable for up to ~200 client relationships. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about building and working in a commercially driven, fast-paced team and is excited to drive growth through a media sales strategy which identifies the role SMEs can play in using Tesco Media advertising solutions to differentiate their brand in Tesco.
What you’ll be working on:
* Lead commercial performance across a designated set of categories, for our top 50 clients, with direct accountability for sales to key SME clients.
* Manage and develop a team responsible for selling online and offline retailer media solutions to a diverse range of advertisers.
* Drive team performance to meet and exceed sales targets across multiple channels, including:
* Desktop
* CRM
* In-store media
* Ensure delivery of high-quality work that aligns with client needs and solves business challenges, contributing to sustainable revenue growth.
* Champion a customer-first and commercially driven approach to client relationships, particularly with top-tier clients.
* Play a leadership role within the broader media business, inspiring collaboration and innovation.
* Promote and support the adoption of self-serve media solutions among new clients.
What we expect from you:
* A breadth of sales experience within retail, media sales and / or agency environments.
* Proven track record of managing large and complex client portfolios, ability to build a strong sales pipeline, forecast accurately and achieve challenging quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Extensive knowledge of brand, performance & digital marketing ecosystems and performance metrics.
* Results-driven, self-motivated and highly goal-oriented in order exceed targets.
* Confident communicator and presenter, comfortable in fast-paced environments.
* Strong stakeholder management skills – a team player with an ability to build trusted internal and external relationships at a senior level.
* Experience of building and leading a high performing and engaged team who live the dunnhumby values and passionate about working in Retail Media with the UKs largest retailer.
