Paying up to £60k
Qualifications:
* Exceptional customer focus and ability to regularly work under pressure; consistent ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
* Strong supervision skills and installation experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems; may adapt procedures, processes, tools to meet the more complex requirements of the job
* Strong field supervision skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
* Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision
* Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; advanced math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.)
* Frequent visits to jobsites are required. Minimal overnight travel is required. Valid driver’s license required.
* Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
* Advanced organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Highly proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Education Requirements:
* Associate degree in Electronics strongly preferred
* Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician) required
Experience Requirements:
* Minimum of five years of previous, relevant field experience required
* Experience in the security industry
Certifications & Licences:
* Multiple product-specific certifications desired; industry-specific certifications and/or licences required; must have valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
About the role:
Project Oversight
Oversees the overall site management of project(s) to ensure successful and timely completion within budget and within the defined scope of work, as outlined in the contract. Collaborates with the Project Coordinator to prepare installation plans and implement job procedures.
Team Supervision
Supervises Project Specialists, Installers, and subcontractors on-site. May carry out managerial responsibilities including, but not limited to, mentoring, coaching, developing colleagues, and planning, assigning, and directing work.
Subcontractor Coordination
Coordinates and supervises subcontractors by directing on-site activities and verifying compliance with quality assurance standards.
Project Coordination
Works closely with the Project Coordinator to manage specific project elements. Provides recommendations on potential changes in scope and identifies opportunities for improving customer satisfaction.
Risk Management
Identifies potential project risks, communicates them to the appropriate stakeholders, and supports the development and implementation of strategies to reduce their impact. Also ensures control over deviations from estimated costs and project timelines.
Quality Assurance
Ensures the overall quality of the installation, in accordance with national and local codes as well as company standards.
Technical Support & Installation
Installs, programs, tests, repairs, and services various systems and equipment. This may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation systems. Acts as a key technical liaison and support contact for the customer, with accountability for maximising customer satisfaction.
