Role, Purpose and Mission
A Senior Consultant understands a situation, applies an objective approach to build trust and confidence, and uses honesty, integrity, professionalism, tools and communication skills to achieve or exceed customer goals and expectations in a managed way that enables the customer to achieve success through their technical and business outcomes.
Lifecycle customers: Support clients Strategy and Team Plans by championing, identifying and driving opportunities to support transition, growth and retention of customers to lifecycle relationships, collaborating with other teams to achieve the collective goal.
Customer success: A Senior Consultant contributes to ongoing success for our customers, customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Scoring targets.
You will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding and knowledge of AWS technology, having engaged with enterprise customers to evangelise, design and implement solutions based on the customers’ use case and requirements.
Responsibilities
* Design solutions that meet the customers’ underlying business objectives, not just the technical product.
* Facilitate the customer journey towards emerging technology solutions and support them through today’s complex digital world.
* Create the best architecture designs, data center operations and end-to-end computing solutions appropriate for the customer.
* Act as a pivotal contributor to our business offering, engaging with customers and, on occasion, supporting Pre-Sales engagement for the creation of technical proposals.
Required Skills
* Demonstrable, practical, deep experience with AWS technology, frameworks and services including: requirements gathering, designing, and guiding the implementations of cloud solutions.
* Implementation of AWS solutions using network, security, storage, and database services.
* Migrating workloads to AWS (EC2, RDS).
* Well-Architected Frameworks.
* AWS storage options and their underlying consistency models.
* Administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting production AWS environments.
* Strong communication skills; ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language.
* Previous consulting experience with small to mid-size organisations.
Desirable Skills
* AWS Associate Certifications (Architect / SysOps Administrator).
* AWS Specialty Certifications (Advanced Networking / Security).
* AWS Professional Certifications (DevOps Engineer / Architect).
* Automation and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Landing Zone Accelerator) in a production environment.
* Knowledge of Private Cloud technologies (VMware, OpenStack, or Hyper-V).
* Container technologies (Kubernetes, ECS, Docker).
* Oracle, SQL or similar database technologies.
