Finance Manager Plymouth, Devon £35,000 - £45,000 per annum Our client, based in Plymouth is currently seeking a motivated Finance Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role would suit either an experienced candidate comfortable balancing day-to-day delivery with reporting and analytical responsibilities, or someone earlier in their career who is confident in the operational aspects and keen to develop their interpretive and analytical skills with support and mentoring. The responsibilities: Take ownership of the organisation's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, control, and regulatory compliance. Oversee day-to-day finance processes including billing, credit checks, debt recovery, and supplier/customer queries. Produce timely and reliable management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and performance reports. Translate financial data into clear insights that support strategic and operational decisions. Closely track cashflow and working capital, highlighting risks and opportunities early. Manage payroll, pensions, and employee financial records with precision and confidentiality. Coordinate statutory filings, company secretarial tasks, asset registers, and insurance arrangements. Continuously develop technical expertise and remain informed on regulatory and industry developments. The candidate: Minimum of AAT qualification with 3 years working within a similar position. Proven ability to independently run the full finance function and manage a small team. Highly competent in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and advanced Excel, with strong systems aptitude. Self-motivated, commercially minded professional with high integrity, resilience, and attention to detail.
