Job Description: Join our team as a Building Maintenance Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs to create a seamless and efficient environment. Your expertise will contribute to a well-maintained building that supports the needs of our occupants and enhances their experience.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
* Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and building infrastructure.
* Respond to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues promptly.
* Monitor and manage building automation systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
* Maintain records of maintenance activities, monitor equipment performance and document building information.
* Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
* Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures.
* Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order parts as needed.
* Participate in energy management and sustainability initiatives.
* Inspect and maintain safety equipment and coordinate inspections such as fire alarms and extinguishers.
* Collaborate with property management to plan and execute building improvements.
* Conduct regular assessments of building conditions and report findings to management.
* Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related role.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management.
* Ability to conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
* Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work on-call hours and respond to emergencies.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Certification in EPA, HVAC, or other relevant credentials is a plus.
* Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
