Senior Compliance Officer – Maternity Cover (London)

We’re seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to join our high-performing team on a maternity cover contract. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our healthcare agency workers meet the highest standards of compliance and governance and support the delivery of exceptional patient care across the UK.
Key Results
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you’ll oversee the onboarding and compliance process for temporary healthcare workers, ensuring full adherence to NHS Framework Standards, Private Healthcare Standards, and internal quality benchmarks.
You’ll work closely with consultants, desk heads, and our offshore compliance team to ensure every candidate is fully compliant before deployment. This is a pivotal role for someone who enjoys structure, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
Onboarding & Compliance Registration
* Oversee end-to-end compliance registration for assigned candidates in line with Globe Locums, NHS framework, and private client requirements.
* Verify and process key documents such as Right to Work, Employment History, DBS/PVG/Access NI, Occupational Health, and professional registrations.
* Liaise proactively with consultants, candidates, and offshore teams to resolve documentation issues quickly.
Auditing & Quality Assurance
* Conduct regular internal quality and assurance audits (file checks and maintenance).
* Maintain accurate electronic audit files, reports, and databases.
* Support external audits (CCS, HTE, and private clients), ensuring all files are correctly compiled and submitted.
Process & Continuous Improvement
* Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, documentation, and service delivery.
* Assist in developing and implementing new compliance procedures.
* Provide guidance and training to team members, including offshore staff, ensuring alignment with Globe standards.

* Deep understanding of NHS compliance standards and UK right-to-work regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
* Minimum 2+ years’ experience in healthcare compliance/auditing within recruitment, or 1.5+ years in healthcare onboarding with audit responsibilities.
* Experience preparing for or supporting external framework audits (desirable).
* Prior experience mentoring or supporting compliance colleagues, including offshore teams (desirable).
