Based: Moreton, Wirral, CH46 1PRSalary circa £70,000 per annum + car allowance, bonus + private medical insuranceAbout the role...We're looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead the Technical and Quality agenda at our Moreton manufacturing site, the home of the Cadbury Mini Roll.Operating in a fast-paced, highly competitive branded environment, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance, while enabling innovation, continuous improvement and strong customer relationships.This is a key senior site leadership role, with accountability for the Quality Management System (QMS) and for developing a high-performing technical team.What you will be doing: Lead and develop the site Technical & Quality team, embedding a strong food safety and quality cultureOwn and deliver the site Quality Management System (QMS) in line with Premier Foods standardsAct as the principal site contact for customers, regulators, auditors and accreditation bodiesEnsure compliance with food safety legislation, ethical standards and customer requirementsDrive continuous improvement in GMP, hygiene, product quality and customer satisfactionSupport innovation and ensure technical capability enables brand, customer and own-label growthDefine, implement and maintain technical specifications and quality standardsPlay a full role in the site leadership team and delivery of the wider business strategyManage budgets, capital plans and continuous improvement projects within TechnicalWhat we're looking for Proven senior technical leadership experience within food manufacturingDegree (or equivalent) in a food-related disciplineAdvanced HACCP and Advanced Food Hygiene qualificationsStrong people manager with a track record of developing high-performing teamsDeep knowledge of food safety legislation, GMP and quality systemsExperience operating in complex, unionised manufacturing environmentsStrategic thinker with the ability to influence, challenge and drive changeConfident communicator with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholdersWhat we offerAt Premier Foods, we make some of Britain's best-loved brands - and we're proud of the people who make them.
