Antal International has been instructed by a leading international property business to source a Head of Client Accounts role based in Birmingham.

The Head of Client Accounts will be responsible for the end-to-end process and management of Client Accounting. Conduct internal reviews of control processes within Client Accounting with a view to strengthen wherever practical. Review workflows and systems and consider automation and digital transformation if practical and cost effective.


Overview

* Responsible for the overall management of Client Accounting, the role will be responsible for overseeing activities in various locations, for standardising operating processes across teams and for bringing the line management of the teams together into one overall team over the next 12-24 months.
* The role will require the individual to develop a deep knowledge of the preparation and delivery of the clients’ accounting requirements, their financial reporting, and the associated controls required to ensure RICS regulations are being met.
* A key part of the role will be focused on driving change within the Client Accounting function and therefore the individual will need to have the ability to drive that through to completion, managing various stakeholders within the business to ensure agreement and acceptance of greater standardisation across the function and helping them to understand the benefits that it will bring to their teams.
* In addition to carrying out a management function, the position will closely support fee generation.
* The job holder will be expected to take a prominent part in presentations to potential clients to help secure new work – and also consult regularly with existing clients to ensure that services are provided to meet/exceed client expectations.


Required Skills & Experience & Qualifications

* Significant post qualification experience including managing, leading and developing teams.
* Detailed knowledge and experience of reviewing, updating, and documenting processes and systems, including experience of using workflows.
* Experience of working with internal stakeholders across multiple locations to ensure change can be achieved
* Experience of managing a team across multiple locations and ensuring consistency of performance and service delivery
* Managed a portfolio of property related clients, covering sole traders, partnerships, charities, and limited companies including service charges.
* Experience of providing financial reporting and accounts for contracts involving property management.
