Role Overview
The successful candidate will initially be based within an established 2‑bed home, supporting the day‑to‑day running and deputising for a dual‑registered Manager. You will play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting staff, and ensuring consistent, high‑quality care delivery.
Afterwards you will transition into leading your own 2‑bed learning disability home following Ofsted registration, with full support throughout the process.
Key responsibilities
* Deputise significantly in the Manager's absence across a dual‑registered setup
* Support day‑to‑day operations, staff supervision, and care delivery
* Contribute to the set‑up and mobilisation of a new children's home
* Work collaboratively with the Responsible Individual and Operations Director
* Support Ofsted registration (SC1) – most documentation already prepared
* Participate in a mix of shifts, including office hours and weekends
* Provide operational cover where required, including occasional sleep‑ins
Progression & Opportunity
* Clear progression into Registered Manager, with a salary increase from £38,000 to £50,000 upon registration
* Salary and KPI‑based bonus structure once registered
* Full support through the Ofsted registration process
* Long‑term progression into dual registration or regional roles

Qualifications Required
Level 3 Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards).
