Alfred Minto House is a dedicated residential service that empowers ten men facing mental health challenges and forensic histories, helping them thrive in a community setting.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Recovery Worker, you will be the catalyst for change, providing
person-centered care
that truly transforms lives. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering recovery-focused support through key working sessions and group activities. Creating tailored support and risk management plans for each individual. Facilitating effective discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Empowering individuals to develop new skills and coping strategies. Encouraging positive change and fostering independence. You’ll work
37 hours per week
, with a shift pattern that includes sleep-ins and weekends. Enjoy the balance of one weekend on and one weekend off, with rotas planned at least two months in advance, allowing for flexibility to meet service needs.
Are You the Right Fit?
We’re looking for someone with a passion for mental health and a solid understanding of the recovery model. The ideal candidate will: Have experience in the mental health sector. Exhibit a solution-focused attitude and a person-centered approach. Thrive both independently and as part of a dynamic team. Adapt easily to fast-paced and challenging environments. Possess a genuine interest in helping others, along with empathy, understanding, and patience.
