We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of Design Technology to lead a dynamic department at a forward-thinking secondary school near Braintree. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to shape the future of DT education and drive excellence across the curriculum.
The Role:
* Lead and manage the Design Technology department, including curriculum planning and staff development
* Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
* Champion practical, project-based learning in areas such as product design, engineering, textiles, and food technology
* Oversee the use and maintenance of specialist equipment and workshop spaces
* Contribute to whole-school leadership and strategic development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Proven experience teaching Design Technology
* Strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach
* A clear vision for high-quality DT provision
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
