About the Role
HomeServe is recruiting for a Senior PR & Communications Manager to join the Marketing Team in Walsall. You will be a key member of the brand team, responsible for leading proactive external consumer publicity to increase brand awareness and enhance reputation.
This role involves working closely with content and social teams, with a hybrid working model—mainly remote, with at least two days a week in Walsall, and occasional travel to London (about 3-4 times per year) for partner meetings.
Team Focus
The Customer Communications team aims to deliver effective communications aligned with strategic objectives, focusing on creative, agile working, and leveraging Marcomms technology while managing risks.

Role Purpose
To lead the strategic development and execution of external publicity, focusing on media relations, creating engaging content, and building consumer awareness and reputation for HomeServe.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and optimize media channels (PR, Influencers, Ambassadors, social media) to meet KPIs and support growth.
2. Maintain relationships with PR agencies, brand partners, influencers, and internal teams for campaign execution.
3. Develop media relationships through storytelling, partnerships, and campaigns.
4. Deliver impactful activations and maintain a proactive press office.
5. Experiment with channel strategies to maximize coverage.
6. Innovate to improve efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns.
7. Handle media inquiries, build journalist relationships, and manage media materials.
8. Oversee PR and influencer budgets, ensuring optimal spend and reporting.
9. Apply legislative and compliance standards (FCA, DPA, ASA, ICOBS).
About You
You should possess:
* Extensive experience managing PR to enhance brand awareness and traffic.
* Expertise in PR and Influencer activations.
* Experience working with media agencies and across multiple channels.
* Strong marketing planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
* Excellent writing and analytical skills.
* Budget management and negotiation skills.
* Stakeholder management at senior levels.
* Degree or relevant experience in PR, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
* Knowledge of financial promotions legislation and financial services marketing experience.
Salary: Between £41,810 - £44,000 (dependent on experience), including location allowance.
