Job Duties:
The SEN Teaching Assistant will support students with Special Educational Needs in the classroom, providing assistance to help them access the curriculum. This may involve working one-on-one with students, helping with classroom activities, and supporting the teacher in implementing individual education plans.
Required Qualifications:
Valid DBS on Update Service
Education:
Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
Prior experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions, excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team, patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. The SEN Teaching Assistant may need to provide support during classroom activities and outdoor play. The position requires full-time availability, working 5 days a week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
